This is the key information for parents of pupils in Year 9. This page will be updated periodically depending on the changing circumstances.
We appreciate this is a stressful time and it is impossible to replicate a “school” at home. This is just some advice that you should adapt to suit your circumstances & needs as a family.
All pupils will be receiving work on Google Classrooms. This is aimed to support and not to add stress.

Following the choices made by all learners using the initial option blocks, all feedback has been carefully considered with changes being made to optimise learner choice satisfaction and resolving any clashes. I am pleased to say that 97% of learner choices have been satisfied with the option blocks presented below. The school will continue to discuss learner choices throughout this term to ensure the most appropriate courses have been chosen to maximise learner outcomes.
However, please do not hesitate to contact the school for further information or clarification if necessary.
Yn dilyn dewisiadau pob dysgwr sy’n defnyddio’r blociau opsiynau cychwynnol, mae’r holl adborth wedi’i ystyried yn ofalus gyda newidiadau’n cael eu gwneud i wneud y gorau i ateb gofynion y dysgwr a datrys unrhyw wrthdar. Rwy’n falch i ddweud bod 97% o ddewisiadau dysgwyr wedi eu bodloni â’r blociau opsiynau a gyflwynir isod. *Art / Celf is likely to be taught bilingually due to insufficient numbers to run two separate classes.
**Due to insufficient learner numbers, Ffotograffiaeth will be taught as Photography in Block 1.
* Mae Celf / Celf yn debygol o gael ei ddysgu’n ddwyieithog oherwydd niferoedd annigonol i gynnal dau ddosbarth ar wahân.
**Oherwydd niferoedd annigonol o ddysgwyr, bydd Ffotograffiaeth yn cael ei ddysgu fel Ffotograffiaeth mewn Bloc 1
A message from the Head of Year:
I hope that you are all safe and well. We have been working hard on finalising option choices over the last few weeks. As a result approximately 99% of all options were accurate and met the needs of the year group. We have contacted any pupils who have had issues with their options and changes have successfully been made. I am confident that you will all enjoy the options that you have decided on as part of the Pathways process and I am sure that you all can’t wait to get started.
