Croeso i Ysgol Dyffryn Aman ...

Welcome to Ysgol Dyffryn Aman ...

Pleser yw eich croesawu i wefan / prosbectws Ysgol Dyffryn Aman. Gobeithiaf yn fawr y cewch yma drosolwg o’r hyn a gynigir gan yr ysgol, yn ogystal â gwybodaeth am systemau a pholisïau’r ysgol. Os oes angen gwybodaeth benodol arnoch, mae croeso i chi godi’r ffôn i gael gair uniongyrchol gyda fi ar unrhyw adeg.
Mae’r gymuned ddysgu yn Ysgol Dyffryn Aman yn un effeithiol, amrywiol a chynhwysiol. Un o’n cryfderau yw’r cwricwlwm eang a ddarperir yma. Mae’r gefnogaeth ofalgar a’r cyngor arbenigol a roddir i bob unigolyn wrth ei gosod ar ei llwybr dysgu unigol yn medru hwyluso dyfodol llwyddiannus a llewyrchus i bob yr un ohonynt.
“ Parched pob byw ei orchwyl” yw arwyddair yr ysgol. Credwn, trwy waith caled ac ymdrech barhaus, y gall pob unigolyn gyrraedd ei lawn botensial. Ymrwymwn fel ysgol i greu awyrgylch ysgogol a heriol a fydd yn darparu’r cyfleoedd gorau er mwyn galluogi ein disgyblion i ffynnu. Mae gwaith tîm yn allweddol er mwyn gwneud hyn. Ceisiwn sicrhau bod ein disgyblion yn ennill y medrau, y wybodaeth a’r hyder i weithio’n annibynnol, yn ogystal â’r sgiliau i gyd-weithio ag eraill er mwyn eu paratoi ar gyfer tyfu’n ddinasyddion parchus ac effeithiol.
Rhaid gosod disgwyliadau uchel i’n hunain. Yn anorfod felly, rhaid i bob un sy’n ymddiddori yn nyfodol ein disgyblion chwarae eu rhan. Trwy gyd-weithio gyda’n gilydd – fel ysgol, rhieni, llywodraethwyr, awdurdod a chymuned ehangach, gallwn anelu at y nôd o ddarparu’r addysg orau i’n disgyblion, a chynnig iddynt y gefnogaeth fugeiliol a moesol a fydd yn eu cynnal a’u hysbrydoli gydol eu hoes.
Mae’n bwysig bod pob disgybl yn gwneud yn fawr o bob cyfle gan ymrwymo i fod yn lysgenhadon gwych i’r ysgol a’r gymuned – boed ar y maes chwaraeon, ar lwyfan perfformio, ym myd gwyddoniaeth a thechnoleg, neu wrth gwrs, ar lawr yr ystafell ddosbarth. Cefnogwn ddatblygiad personol pob disgybl gan eu hymarfogi â’r wybodaeth, sgiliau a’r gwerthoedd i’w galluogi i gamu’n hyderus i’r dyfodol.

It is a pleasure to welcome you to Ysgol Dyffryn Aman’s website / prospectus. I hope it provides you with an overview of school life and also gives you valuable information on the school’s policies and systems. If you require any specific details, please pick up the phone to speak to me directly. The school community at Ysgol Dyffryn Aman is effective, diverse and inclusive. One of the school’s strengths lies in its extensive curriculum, and the caring support and expert direction given to each individual pupil to ensure that they follow the most appropriate learning pathway to a successful future. “Parched pob byw ei orchwyl” (Let everyone respect their own endeavours) is the school’s motto. We believe that by working hard and being focussed on achieving our goals, everyone can reach their full potential. As a school, we are totally committed to creating an inspiring and challenging learning environment that provides every child with the best opportunities to succeed. Teamwork is therefore essential. We endeavour to develop a school community that promotes skills for both independent learning and collaborative working so our pupils can develop into effective and respected citizens. High expectations are essential. Creating an aspiring school community means that every stakeholder has a role to play. By working together, as a school, parents/guardians, governors, local authority, and the wider community, we can achieve our goal of providing the best academic education for our pupils, and instil in them the pastoral and moral direction to guide them successfully through life. It is important that every pupil makes the most of every opportunity and they become proud ambassadors of the school and community, on the sports field, on the performing stage, in the world of science and technology, or of course in the classroom. Let us support each individual pupil, and equip them with the necessary skills, knowledge and values to step confidently and boldly into the future.

What Our Pupils Say...

I enjoyed every aspect of Year 7 and 8, and I was very fortunate to have been able to take part in a number of extra-curricular activities. I am looking forward to starting Year 10.

Maddie – Yr 9

In year 9 I took part in the Mock Trials, which was a mock courtroom. I am a member of the Carmarthenshire’s youth council which I got involved in via the school and I spoke in the house of commons last November.
