Poetry Live Workshop

On Monday 9th March, year 12 and 11 students were fortunate to be able to attend a workshop at Swansea University called Poetry Live. This involved spending time with current SU English Students and analysing poetry.

They then had the opportunity to hear Owen Sheers and Carol Ann Duffy read from their own poems and discuss their collections. It was a great opportunity for them to meet the authors of poems that students study at GCSE and A-Level. 

Finally, they had a dedicated session delivered by examiners on answering in depth and looking for hidden meaning in Poetry! 

It was a superb day for students and very worthwhile!
