Pan yn adrodd ar absenoldeb eich plentyn, gofynnir i chi wneud hynny drwy Class Charts yn hytrach na ffonio neu ebostio’r ysgol. Mae’n system rhwydd iawn ii’w ddefnyddio a byddwch yn derbyn cadarnhad ar yr app pan fydd y neges wedi cael ei dderbyn gan yr ysgol. Mae modd i chi hefyd atodi llythyron ar gyfer apwyntiadau gyda’r neges.

Reporting an absence
When reporting an absence, you are asked to do so via Class Charts instead of emailing or phoning the school. It is a very easy system to use and you will be able to see on the app when the message has been acknowledged by the school. Furthermore, you are able to attach medical letters for appointments to your message.

Er gwybodaeth
Annwyl rieni,
Mae heddiw wedi bod yn ddiwrnod anodd iawn i ni gyd fel ysgol. Yn amlwg mae fy meddyliau gyda’r tri unigolyn a’u teuluoedd y mae digwyddiad heddiw wedi effeithio arnynt.
Yn syth wedi’r digwyddiad, ein blaenoriaeth oedd sicrhau diogelwch ein disgyblion a staff, rheoli’r sefyllfa a sicrhau cyfathrebu gyda’r sawl a gafodd eu heffeithio yn uniongyrchol. Trwy weithio gyda’r heddlu, fe wnaethom gyfathrebu mor gynted a oedd yn bosib.
I gefnogi Heddlu Dyfed-Powys, bydd yr ysgol ar gau yfory i’r holl ddisgyblion a staff er mwyn i swyddogion barhau gyda’u hymchwiliadau.
Er mwyn cefnogi disgyblion sydd am ddilyn eu gwersi arferol ar yr amserlen yfory, bydd gwaith yn cael ei ddarparu trwy Google Classrooms.
Bydd staff addysgu ar gael i gefnogi disgyblion os oes angen, trwy Google Stream.
Sylwch y gall staff bugeiliol allweddol, megis Penaethiaid Blwyddyn a Dirprwy Benaethiaid Blwyddyn, cael eu hoedi cyn ymateb i ymholiadau am waith disgyblion, gan eu bod wedi cael eu cyfeirio at ddarparu cymorth lles.
Gall unrhyw ddisgybl sy’n dymuno derbyn cymorth lles gwblhau’r Ffurflen Google sydd ar gael trwy eu Google Classrooms Blynyddol. Am unrhyw gymorth technegol i gael mynediad at waith, e-bostiwch admin@dyffrynaman.org
Hoffwn atgoffa pawb o gais yr Heddlu i beidio â rhannu unrhyw luniau na fideos ar y cyfryngau cymdeithasol sy’n ymwneud â’r digwyddiad, er mwyn osgoi gofid i’r rhai a effeithiwyd ac osgoi dirmyg llys. Gofynnaf hefyd i bobl beidio â dyfalu wrth i ymchwiliad yr heddlu barhau.
Mae Heddlu Dyfed-Powys wedi gofyn i unrhyw un sydd â gwybodaeth, a allai helpu swyddogion gyda’u hymchwiliad, i gysylltu drwy eu Porth Cyhoeddus pwrpasol.

Dear parents,
Today has been a very difficult day for us as all as in the school. It goes without saying that my thoughts are with the three individuals and their families, who have been affected by today’s incident.
In the immediate aftermath of the incident, our priority was to ensure the security of pupils and staff whilst managing the situation and communicating with those directly impacted. Working with the police we issued communication as soon as feasibly possible.
To support Dyfed Powys Police, the school will be closed tomorrow to all pupils and staff in order for officers to further carry out their investigations.
Although the school will be closed, I want to reassure pupils, parents and staff that wellbeing support is available to anyone who has been affected.
In order to support pupils who wish to follow their ordinary timetabled lessons tomorrow, work will be provided via Google Classrooms. Teaching staff will be available to support pupils, if necessary, through the Google Stream function. Please be aware that key pastoral staff, such as Heads of Year and Deputy Heads of Year, may be delayed in responding to queries regarding pupils’ work, as they have been directed to provide wellbeing support. Any pupil wishing to receive wellbeing support can complete the Google Form available through their Year Group Google Classrooms. For any technical support in accessing work, please email admin@dyffrynaman.org
Can I remind everyone of the Police’s request that no social media footage relating to the incident is shared online, to avoid distress to those affected and contempt of court. I would also ask people not to speculate whilst the police investigation is ongoing.
Dyfed Powys Police has asked if anyone has information that could help officers with their investigation to report it through their dedicated Public Portal.
Further correspondence will be shared tomorrow to update arrangements for Friday 26th April. However, if there are any questions or concerns that you may have, please do not hesitate to contact the school on admin@dyffrynaman.org
On a final note, I wish to commend all staff and pupils for their calm and mature response during today’s lockdown. We are proud to have witnessed pupils embodying the school’s core values while supporting their peers and staff.

For your Information
You will be aware of the incident that has taken place at Ysgol Dyffryn Aman today.
The family members of all injured persons have been informed. We would like to reassure parents and the public that the incident has been contained.
Dyfed Powys Police have issued the following statement:
Dyfed-Powys Police is dealing with an incident at Amman Valley School in Carmarthenshire.
Three people have been injured and are receiving treatment.
One person has been arrested and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.
Emergency services remain at scene and the school has been closed while investigations continue.
We are working closely with the school and Carmarthenshire County Council.
We are aware that there is footage of the incident currently circulating on social media. We would ask that this is removed to avoid contempt of court and distress to those affected.
We would ask the people do not speculate while there is a police investigation ongoing.
